Canberrans now have more opportunities to access Fee-Free TAFE at CIT.

The ACT and Australian Governments have expanded the eligibility for fee-free training and included a variety of new courses.

Enrolments for semester two are now open and Canberrans are encouraged to take advantage of this free training.

Options have been expanded to include study in areas like information technology, construction, nursing and other community services.

Canberrans aged 17 and over who have left school can also take advantage of a range of free short courses at CIT. This allows the opportunity to refresh knowledge for further opportunities at work or to gain skills to enter a new industry.

Veterans living in the ACT, including current and former Australian Defence Force members, are also now eligible for any Fee-Free TAFE course.

So far there have been 1000 Fee-Free TAFE enrolments at CIT, leaving around 1500 places still on offer.
